"Yoichi Style Matsuri" to Be Held from Wednesday, November 16 to Sunday, November 20!

From Wednesday, November 16 to Sunday, November 20, 2022, a new event themed around pairing Yoichi's wine with local ingredients, "Yoichi Style Matsuri," will be held in front of Yoichi Station and on the 1st floor (plus 2nd floor and rooftop) of Yoichi Station.

Here are the details about what kind of event it will be.

Now Is the Time for Yoichi's Nouveau

"Yoichi Style Matsuri" is an event planned by the Yoichi Tourism Association in collaboration with the Yoichi Style Executive Committee, formed by volunteers from Yoichi Town.

Due to factors such as the weak yen and soaring transportation costs, this year's Beaujolais Nouveau is expected to see sharp price hikes, leaving many people feeling that they might not be able to enjoy it casually as usual.

Precisely because of this, they want people to raise a glass together with the nouveau (new wine) from Yoichi Town's wineries, which are currently attracting global attention, and enjoy the pairing of Yoichi wine and Yoichi ingredients (= Yoichi Style).

The event was reportedly planned with this sentiment in mind.

Content Full of Charm

Currently, wine grape harvesting is at its peak in Yoichi Town, and the harvested grapes are being vinified one after another, transforming over time into wonderful wines.

However, actively fermenting wine that wineries sample for quality checks is actually fresh and exceptionally delicious.

For this occasion, such actively fermenting wines that cannot normally be tasted will also be available exclusively at the event.

In addition, it offers a rare opportunity to taste wines that are usually hard to come by within Yoichi Town, including wines from Domaine Takahiko, which has been listed at "noma" in Copenhagen, a restaurant ranked number one multiple times in The World's 50 Best Restaurants.

Furthermore, time will be set aside to speak directly with winemakers from Yoichi Town wineries.

Cheers with Yoichi Nouveau!

"Yoichi Style Matsuri" has reportedly planned many activities that adults and children can enjoy together.

In addition, exclusively for those who pre-book tickets, an appetizer created for this event by Chef Shin Shimokuni, the inaugural champion of the culinary M-1 Grand Prix "CHEF-1 Grand Prix," will be included.

This marks the inaugural edition of this event.

Let's all have fun and toast with Yoichi's nouveau.
