About the Three “Yamagata” Markets
The three “Yamagata” markets will be held at Hisaya-odori Park in Nagoya.
Yamagata City in Gifu Prefecture, Yamagata City in Yamagata Prefecture, and Yamagata Village in Nagano Prefecture signed a cooperation agreement in July this year to make effective use of their respective cultures and resources and pursue sustainable development. They have since launched the “#Discover Yamagata Project,” and as its third initiative, the three municipalities will hold a joint event in centrally located Hisaya-odori Park to showcase their attractions.
Yamagata Wine Too
Across the two days, a total of 23 vendors will highlight the appeal of the three Yamagatas through sales of regional specialties, tourism promotion, and traditional culture workshops.
Yamagata City will offer the local dish imoni, while Yamagata Village will sell specialties including wine and cider.
On the 26th, Yuchin of the comedy act Sugoroku Ningen, who also serves as a regional revitalization cooperation volunteer in Yamagata City, Gifu Prefecture, will appear to support the event, along with many other programs.
