In Kaminoyama City, Yamagata Prefecture, the 【Yamagata Wine Bar】 was held for the first time in three years!
On the day of the event, which saw historic, intense heat, temperatures hovered near 35 degrees Celsius. It was extraordinarily hot (sweating).
However, there were astonishingly over 3,000 visitors!
With enthusiasm that rivaled the sun beating down on Kaminoyama Castle, the venue became even more heated up.
More than 30 wineries gathered not only from within the Tohoku region, but also from other prefectures!
Visitors stopped by booths of their choice, enjoying the distinctive wines offered by each winery.
It was a wonderful event where we also met people from wineries familiar to our site, "NIHON WINE.JP"!
By the way, the very spacious venue also featured a great gathering of Yamagata's specialty foods.
Beer and shaved ice were also hugely popular!
After soaking up lots of sun and sweating, heading to "Kaminoyama Onsen" is definitely the way to go.
There are numerous day-use bathing facilities, hotel day-trip hot spring plans, and footbath spots.
