WINERY AZUMA SANROKU, operated by Azuma Sanroku Winery Co., Ltd. in Fukushima Prefecture, is taking on a crowdfunding project titled “Sharing the Safety of Fukushima Food Through Wine | Azuma Sanroku Wine Event” on CAMPFIRE.
The campaign runs through July 25, 2025.
Here are the details.
About the Project
Under the theme “Connecting People and Wine: Thoughts for Fukushima’s Food and Future,” WINERY AZUMA SANROKU launched the crowdfunding campaign out of a desire to spread wine culture and communicate the appeal of Fukushima through wine.
The winery hopes to use wine to communicate the realities and perceptions surrounding Fukushima food, the relationship between wine and place, and the safety of Fukushima wine.
Rewards also include a future-facing challenge called “custom crush,” a system that lets participants use an existing winery’s equipment to create their own original wine.
About the Rewards
The campaign rewards include:
★ ¥7,000: Red-wine gelato — “edible wine” made with wine and pomace (grape skins and seeds)
★ ¥14,000: Wine set — cider and wine made with Fukushima ingredients
★ ¥20,000: Grape-harvest experience — one bottle made from the harvested grapes plus lunch on harvest day
★ ¥50,000: Prosciutto-making experience — make prosciutto to pair with wine and collect the whole cured ham after one year of aging
★ ¥1,000,000: Custom-crush wine — production of an original OEM wine
It is a rare opportunity to learn about the safety of Fukushima food through wine.
