From December 1 through 25, 2025, Risonare Yatsugatake will host “Wine Resort Christmas 2025.”
The program lets visitors celebrate Christmas amid a spectacular scene of trees created by upcycling 12,000 Koshu wine bottles.
Here are the details.
12,000 Koshu Wine Bottles
At Risonare Yatsugatake’s “Wine Resort Christmas 2025,” the main street, Piment Street, will be decorated with Christmas trees made from 12,000 wine bottles.
This year, to place even greater emphasis on Yamanashi Prefecture, only bottles from wines made with Koshu—the grape variety for which Yamanashi ranks first in production nationwide—will be used.
Visitors can enjoy Christmas illuminations unique to a Yamanashi wine resort, with the appearance changing according to the producers’ distinctive bottle labels and the bottles’ varied colors and shapes.
Highlights of “Wine Resort Christmas 2025”
“Wine Resort Christmas 2025” will also introduce a Christmas-only strawberry parfait made with Koshu wine.
The refreshing citrus aroma of Koshu wine blended into mascarpone cream enhances the sweet-and-tart flavor of the beautifully arranged strawberries in this special seasonal parfait.
A Christmas candle-making experience inspired by the aroma of Koshu wine will also be available.
Why not visit Risonare Yatsugatake this Christmas?
