JR Tokai Takashimaya Co., Ltd. has begun a phased renewal project.
As the first phase of its major food-floor renovation, the Japanese and Western liquor department will be renewed.
“JR Nagoya Takashimaya Wine Maison” is scheduled to open on Monday, November 24, a national holiday.

One of Japan’s Largest “Wine Maison” Shops
The renewal is designed to further enhance the appeal of Nagoya Station by creating a food floor people will want to visit every day.
In the first phase, the liquor department will be completely revamped. The new “JR Nagoya Takashimaya Wine Maison,” an immersive space inspired by a wine cave and aimed at serious wine lovers, will open underground at Nagoya Station in Fashion One.
A Strong Japanese Wine Selection
Located along commuter routes from the subway lines, the Wine Maison will provide a convenient place to buy wine on the way to or from work.
With rigorous temperature control and one of Japan’s largest wine selections, the store aims to serve everyone from dedicated enthusiasts to customers just beginning to explore wine.
The selection will include major Bordeaux labels such as wines from the five First Growth châteaux, as well as a broad range from leading regions in France and Italy and New World countries including the United States, Chile and South Africa.
The store also plans to carry around 40 Japanese wines, including labels from Kikuka Winery and Takahata Winery.
