About “Gunma Yamaziku DAO”
Gunma Yamaziku DAO Co., Ltd. was established through collaboration among the Gunma Prefectural Government, Gaiax and Timori LLC.
By using the framework of a corporate-form DAO, the project secures the funding needed before business revenue is established. Investors also take an active role in the success of the business, helping accelerate growth in its natural-wine production and sales venture.
The project has attracted attention for receiving guidance from Hirotake Ooka, one of Japan’s leading natural-wine producers, as well as breeder Shingo Hayashi, who is working to develop original grape varieties suited to Gunma Prefecture’s climate.
It has already received nearly 100 preliminary applications and ¥4 million in investment as of March 2025, raising expectations for what comes next.
