The "Ueda City Fair" is currently taking place under the elevated tracks of Gakugei-daigaku Station starting Tuesday, October 4 (*running until Monday, October 17).
Tomorrow, Friday, October 7, a special event featuring wines from Ueda City will be held.

Nagano Prefecture Ueda City Promotion "NEW UEDA"
The currently running "Ueda City Fair" is part of the "NEW UEDA" promotion organized by the Shinshu Ueda Tourism Association.
Following the great response to the first edition themed "Retro" in 2021, the second edition is being rolled out under the theme "Explosion of Individuality."
From Tuesday, October 11 to Tuesday, October 25, 2022, station advertisements featuring Hitomi Nakazawa will be displayed along the Tokyu Lines.
In addition to the "Ueda City Fair," a campaign giving away original T-shirts will also be held on the official Instagram account (@newueda).
About the "Ueda City Fair"
The venue for the "Ueda City Fair" is the shared kitchen "GAKUDAI MARCHE" under the elevated tracks of Gakugei-daigaku Station.
In addition to serving original dishes made with ingredients from Ueda City through a collaboration between Ueda City and "GAKUDAI MARCHE," various themed fairs will be held where visitors can taste sake and wine while communicating directly with producers.
Tomorrow, Friday, October 7, a Wine Fair is scheduled to take place.
Premium wines from Ueda wineries that are rarely distributed in the Tokyo metropolitan area—wines you "can't drink or buy unless you visit Ueda"—will be specially available for purchase (served by the glass).
On other days, tasting sets from a "microbrewery" in the Ueda region and from five Ueda sake breweries will be sold, making it an event where visitors can fully savor the flavors of Ueda City.

Speaking of Ueda City, it is famous for "Ueda Castle," which leaped to fame with the taiga drama Sanada Maru, "Bessho Onsen," said to be the oldest hot spring in Shinshu, and as an area where you can enjoy beautiful nature throughout the seasons.
However, there are surely many people who would also like to learn about the lesser-known, "real Ueda City in the present tense."

Special sales of premium wines from Ueda wineries that rarely circulate in the Tokyo metropolitan area and "can't be tasted or bought unless you come to Ueda"! (Sold by the glass)
(2) Tenjin brewery Fair: Sunday, October 9
A "microbrewery" from the Ueda region will set up a booth. Distinctive beers, including lagers and ales, will be on sale.
(3) Sake Fair: Monday, October 10 (National Holiday)
Tasting sets and more featuring five sake breweries from Ueda will be available (served in ochoko cups).
(4) "NEW UEDA" Corner: Tuesday, October 11 & Wednesday, October 12
Sale of the "Mayo-Dora Burger" featured in this advertisement (11th only), original goods from "Ueda Eigeki" that appeared in the first edition, "NEW UEDA" pin badges, and more.
(5) Daikei Miso Fair: Tuesday, October 4, Saturday, October 15 & Sunday, October 16
Free distribution of freshly prepared mushroom soup made with Daikei Miso is scheduled. Direct sales by the miso producer at special prices (15th and 16th only).
