One of the world's largest tourism events, "Tourism EXPO Japan 2023 Osaka/Kansai," will be held at Intex Osaka from Thursday, October 26 to Sunday, October 29.
The Hokkaido Tokachi General Subprefectural Bureau, the Tokachi Tourism Federation, the Tokachi Tourism Promotion and Airport Use Promotion Council, and the Makubetsu Tourism and Local Products Association will participate in the Hokkaido booth to showcase the appeal of the Tokachi area.

Promoting the Tokachi Area!
This time, organizations including the Hokkaido Tokachi General Subprefectural Bureau will introduce the "Tokachi area" within the Hokkaido booth at Tourism EXPO Japan.
Located in the southeastern part of Hokkaido and comprising 19 municipalities, the Tokachi area is known as Japan's largest food production base, with agriculture and dairy farming as its core industries.
It is also a production region for wine, sake, and Hokkaido's famous specialty confections, making it a familiar destination for Japanese wine enthusiasts as well.
At this Hokkaido booth, the space will be divided into 14 areas of the prefecture to introduce the charm of each region.
In addition to presenting the latest tourism content, the Tokachi area booth will also run a social media campaign where visitors who stop by can receive Tokachi local products and novelty goods.
Food Tastings and Drink Samplings Too!
Food tastings and drink samplings will also be held on this occasion.
Starting with a Tokachi "Junmai" sake tasting, visitors can also taste and compare three varieties of Tokachi Wine.
You can compare "Yamasachi," the first indigenous Hokkaido variety registered with the OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine); "Kiyomi," which is the maternal parent of Yamasachi; and "Bloom White," a sparkling wine crafted using the traditional method (secondary fermentation in the bottle), which was the first of its kind in Japan.
