As an initiative connecting Tokachi-produced wine and tourism, the "Tokachi Wine MAP" and "Hokkaido Tokachi Wine Route" have been published.
Here are the details.
About the "Tokachi Wine MAP" and "Hokkaido Tokachi Wine Route"
The "Tokachi Wine MAP" and "Hokkaido Tokachi Wine Route" were created by the Tokachi General Subprefectural Bureau.
Composed of 19 municipalities located in southeastern Hokkaido, the Tokachi area is known as "Japan's food base" with agriculture as its primary industry.
In Tokachi, the number of wineries has increased over the past 5 years, and unique wines centered on the proprietary variety "Yamasachi" are being brewed.
The Bureau hopes that people will come to Tokachi and enjoy wine while feeling the terroir.
With such thoughts in mind, they created this MAP and routes.
