A Long-Established Yamanashi Winery Makes Its First Appearance! The "Nagano, Niigata, and Yamanashi Koshinetsu Exhibition" to Be Held at Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro from March 16!

For six days from March 16 (Thu) to 21 (Tue, national holiday), the "Nagano, Niigata, and Yamanashi Koshinetsu Exhibition" will be held at Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro.

This marks the first time that Yamanashi Prefecture has joined this joint Koshinetsu exhibition among the three prefectures.

Here are the details.

About the "Nagano, Niigata, and Yamanashi Koshinetsu Exhibition"

The "Nagano, Niigata, and Yamanashi Koshinetsu Exhibition" is an event that brings together food—such as bento boxes, prepared dishes, and sweets featuring specialty products from each prefecture—as well as traditional crafts.

Among the approximately 50 shops appearing (8 making their debut and 15 offering live cooking demonstrations), the Tobu-exclusive bento boxes lavishly loaded with each prefecture's "two major specialties"—such as branded beef, specialty pork, seafood, and rare ingredients like "abalone mushrooms" and "golden salmon roe"—are drawing particular attention.

It is a special project where you can enjoy the feeling of traveling through all three prefectures at once.

That Famous Winery Also Makes an Appearance

Within the "Nagano, Niigata, and Yamanashi Koshinetsu Exhibition," this is the first time Yamanashi Prefecture is taking part.

Starting with shaved ice inspired by Mt. Fuji and craft cola, that famous winery is also joining in.

That is Maruki Winery, the oldest existing winery in Japan dating back to 1877.

It is a prestigious winery that crafts wines using carefully selected grapes grown in its own vineyards through no-till sod culture in an environment as natural as possible, allowing one to enjoy the citrus aroma of Koshu along with the savory umami gifted by the earth.

A variety of wines, starting with the "Raison Koshu 2020," will be available.

The "Nagano, Niigata, and Yamanashi Koshinetsu Exhibition" will run from March 16 (Thu) to 21 (Tue, national holiday), 2023, at the 8th-floor event hall of Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro.
