On Tuesday, August 5, a new food and beverage venue, THE FIFTY FIFTY CLUB, will open at ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO in Hokkaido Ballpark F Village.
The venue plans to take on the globally unusual challenge of making wine inside a baseball stadium.
Here are the details.
About THE FIFTY FIFTY CLUB
THE FIFTY FIFTY CLUB is a new venue at ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO in Hokkaido Ballpark F Village, operated by Chaos Co., Ltd., which works in community development for urban wineries and similar projects.
The name honors Shohei Ohtani’s unprecedented 50-home-run, 50-stolen-base achievement and expresses the ambition to take on another unprecedented challenge from ES CON FIELD: producing wine inside a ballpark.
Making Wine at a Baseball Stadium
THE FIFTY FIFTY CLUB aims to begin producing wine at the stadium in 2027.
When it opens in August 2025, it will start as a casual takeout-style craft dining venue with dishes designed to pair with wine and whisky.
A full restaurant is scheduled to begin operating in March 2026.
The “two-way” lineup of wine and whisky also reflects the idea of enjoying two kinds of value at the same time.
The project’s future development will be worth watching.
