Académie du Vin Co., Ltd. will hold a special seminar, “Terroir of YOICHI,” on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
The seminar will feature special guests and is expected to draw considerable attention.
Here are the details.
About “Terroir of YOICHI”
“Terroir of YOICHI” is being held as part of initiatives under a comprehensive partnership agreement between Académie du Vin and Yoichi Town, Hokkaido.
The event aims to communicate the growing appeal and potential of Yoichi as an internationally recognized wine region. Guests will include Yoichi Mayor Keisuke Saito and Atsuo Yamanaka, representative of Domaine Mont, whose wines attract strong attention from enthusiasts in Japan and abroad. They will discuss Yoichi’s terroir, its challenges, and the region’s future through wine.
Program
Participants will taste four planned wines from Domaine Mont, which are rare and difficult to obtain, while hearing directly from the producer about the current state of Yoichi wine.
Because the event also aims to promote Japanese wine and cultivate the next generation of wine fans, participation will be free by lottery invitation.
The venue is Académie du Vin’s Aoyama school.
Be sure to check it out.
