St. Cousair Co., Ltd. has begun releasing its own wine “Ten Hectares Overlooking Furusato.”
The popular white wine formerly known as “Shion” has been renamed and is now being launched under the new name.

Why the name changed
“Ten Hectares Overlooking Furusato” is the renamed version of the company’s popular white wine Shion.
Feedback from customers suggested that the old name alone did not make the wine’s character easy to understand. The new name was chosen to make the wine more approachable for people unfamiliar with wine and to inspire interest in visiting St. Cousair Winery.
About the wine
“Ten Hectares Overlooking Furusato” is a white wine characterized by crisp acidity and a light mouthfeel.
To preserve the grapes’ natural freshness, no oak barrels are used. The wine offers refreshing aromas reminiscent of white flowers, green apple, and citrus.
The grapes are pressed gently without excessive pressure to reduce harsh flavors, then fermented slowly at a low temperature of around 10–15°C to draw out their natural aromas and a clear, clean taste.
Sales will begin gradually from July 2025 at St. Cousair stores nationwide, the official online shop, and selected Kuze Fuku Shoten stores.
