Atstar Co., Ltd. has begun accepting applications at special prices for cask ownership of whisky matured in Japanese red- and white-wine barrels, among other options.
It is a special plan that Japanese wine fans may also want to check out.
Here are the details.
Limited Sale of Japanese Whisky Casks
Kirishima Yokogawa Distillery obtained its whisky production license on May 16, 2023 and is celebrating its second anniversary this year.
To mark the occasion, it has opened applications for Owners’ Casks for a limited time and in limited quantities at special prices.
For people who may hesitate to purchase an entire cask on their own, plans are also available to purchase one-half or one-third of a cask.
Japanese Wine-Barrel Maturation, Too!
For Owners’ Cask 2025, the distillery is also recruiting cask owners for whisky matured in Japanese white-wine barrels and whisky matured in Japanese red-wine barrels.
Prices are set at ¥1,000,000 for one cask, ¥500,000 for one-half cask, and ¥340,000 for one-third cask.
Other options include bourbon-barrel whisky, Oloroso sherry casks, and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
This is a chance to become the owner of a cask of Japanese whisky.
