Here are the details.

About “Toyo Tamamura’s Column Diary 2022–2023”

Toyo Tamamura, who works in many roles as an essayist, painter, farmer, and winery owner, originally began his writing career by producing short columns.

He is particularly skilled at fitting a complete narrative arc into a fixed number of characters and lines.

Since 2019, he has continued writing one column every week without a break, keeping up the practice for five years.

This book re-edits two years of those weekly columns into an easy-to-read collection.

Contents

The opening color section spans eight pages and features works completed during a period when Tamamura stayed home and devoted himself to painting.

The main text contains 106 diary columns, with each column edited to a little over two pages for comfortable reading.

At the end of the book, major events from 2022 and 2023 are presented based on Tamamura’s own selection of what happened over those two years.

The book should be of particular interest to Japanese wine fans, so be sure to check it out.
