On Monday, July 1, the “Suntory Azusanomori Plant” will be renamed the “Suntory Tochigi Azusanomori Plant.”
The spirits and wine production base in Tochigi Prefecture will operate under its new name.
Here are the details.
About the Renaming of the “Suntory Azusanomori Plant”
The Suntory Azusanomori Plant opened in 1977 as a spirits bottling facility and has since become a Suntory production base manufacturing a wide variety of spirits and wine products.
It is also known as the Suntory Group's largest production site in Japan by production volume.
As of July 1, the facility will be renamed the “Suntory Tochigi Azusanomori Plant.”
A Clearer Name
Major products made at the renamed Suntory Tochigi Azusanomori Plant include familiar brands such as SUI, -196, Kodawari Sakaba, Kakubin, Torys Classic, Oishii Wine Without Added Antioxidants, and Delica Maison.
The name change is intended to make it clearer to consumers that the plant is located in Tochigi Prefecture. The company says it plans to further strengthen production activities rooted in the local community and its contributions to the region.
