Gold and Silver Medals at IWSC 2025
The IWSC, founded in London in 1969, is one of the world’s most influential competitions for alcoholic beverages.
Entries are judged in categories such as wine and spirits, and its results attract international attention every year.
At IWSC 2025, “SUNTORY FROM FARM Tsugaru Chardonnay & Pinot Noir Sparkling 2019” and “SUNTORY FROM FARM Takayama Village Chardonnay 2023” won Gold medals.
In addition, “SUNTORY FROM FARM Tomi Koshu 2023” and “SUNTORY FROM FARM Tsugaru Chardonnay & Pinot Noir Sparkling 2019 — 60 Months Aged” won Silver medals.
At IWSC 2024, “SUNTORY FROM FARM Tomi Koshu 2022” drew attention after winning Gold. This year, two wines from the brand received Gold medals.

“SUNTORY FROM FARM Tsugaru Chardonnay & Pinot Noir Sparkling 2019”
“SUNTORY FROM FARM Tsugaru Chardonnay & Pinot Noir Sparkling 2019” is made with grapes grown in Tsugaru, Aomori.
The Tsugaru area is characterized by a cool climate and volcanic-ash soils from Mt. Iwaki, allowing growers to produce grapes with attractive aromatics and acidity.
Suntory has entered agreements with local government and agricultural cooperatives and worked to expand grape production and improve quality in the Tsugaru area.
For this wine, carefully selected grapes expressing the character of Tsugaru are harvested and the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle followed by 36 months of aging.
It is a high-quality sparkling wine characterized by a harmony of sweet aromas reminiscent of ripe apple and toasty notes, together with generous fruit on the palate.
“SUNTORY FROM FARM Takayama Village Chardonnay 2023”
“SUNTORY FROM FARM Takayama Village Chardonnay 2023” is a white wine made from Chardonnay harvested in Takayama Village in northern Nagano Prefecture.
Takayama Village offers an ideal grape-growing environment with large day-night temperature differences and low rainfall, and is attracting attention as an area capable of producing excellent wine grapes.
The grapes are grown in cooperation with local growers. Separate base wines are made from each vineyard parcel and then assembled.
The finished wine balances ripe-fruit flavors reminiscent of yellow peach and pineapple with refreshing acidity, producing a smooth and generous palate.

“SUNTORY FROM FARM Tomi Koshu 2023” is scheduled for limited nationwide release from Tuesday, September 9.
“SUNTORY FROM FARM Tsugaru Chardonnay & Pinot Noir Sparkling 2019 — 60 Months Aged” is scheduled for limited nationwide release from Tuesday, August 5.
