St. Cousair Co., Ltd.'s highly popular product, "Niagara Blanc 2022," went on sale starting Friday, December 9, 2022.
It is a luxurious white wine made from 100% Niagara grapes from Yoichi, Hokkaido.
Here are the details.
About "Niagara Blanc"
"Niagara Blanc" is a sweet white wine brewed by St. Cousair Winery (Iizuna Town, Nagano Prefecture).
The Hokkaido-grown white grape "Niagara" is processed immediately after harvest, bottled after a short fermentation period of about two months to maximize freshness, and then released for sale in early December.
This wine has been a long-selling favorite at St. Cousair for over 20 years, with many fans eagerly looking forward to the release of this nouveau wine every year.
The Appeal of "Niagara Blanc"
The charm of "Niagara Blanc" lies in its fresh aroma and sweetness.
By pressing and fermenting Niagara grapes that are delicious even eaten as-is, it is crafted into a wine where one can enjoy a gorgeous aroma and sweetness.
Furthermore, while sweet, it retains a pleasant acidity, characterized by a taste you won't get tired of drinking until the very end.
Niagara grapes grown in the cool climate of Hokkaido tend to retain a solid acidity even when fully ripe, which adds a refreshing quality to the flavor.
It is also said to be popular among men who do not typically drink sweet alcoholic beverages.
Enjoy the Year-End and New Year Holidays with "Niagara Blanc"!
With its gorgeous aroma and beautiful appearance, "Niagara Blanc" is perfect for Christmas and casual parties.
Personally, since Niagara pairs well with Japanese cuisine, I would recommend enjoying it with osechi dishes, or pairing it with year-end and New Year meals such as crab hot pot, fugu-chiri (pufferfish hot pot), or assorted sushi.
Please feel free to enjoy "Niagara Blanc 2022" in your own fun way.
