About "Shinshu Ueda Matsutake & Wine Festival 2024"
"Shinshu Ueda Matsutake & Wine Festival 2024" is a gastronomy festival held in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture.
It is known as a unique festival where you can enjoy pairings of matsutake mushroom dishes with approximately 80 varieties of wine from the Chikuma River Wine Valley.
In addition, on the same day, the premium event "ONSEN Gastronomy Walking in Shinshu Ueda" will be held for the first time, where participants "tour" the Japan Heritage Ley Line, "eat" Shinshu gourmet cuisine such as matsutake dishes and wine, and "soak" in Bessho Onsen, renowned for its skin-beautifying waters.
It is a premium festival where you can thoroughly enjoy matsutake mushrooms, Nagano wine, and Nagano gourmet food all in one day.

Ueda City is home to one of Japan's largest matsutake mushroom production areas, as well as the "Chikuma River Wine Valley," one of Japan's leading wine-producing regions.
Born from the desire to create and share a "new Japanese food culture" centered around enjoying wine alongside Shinshu gourmet specialties like matsutake dishes, the event welcomed 3,500 visitors during its inaugural edition last year.
It became a hot topic as a popular festival where visitors could fully savor Shinshu gourmet food and wine.
This time, the event will take place on the lawn plaza of "Aisome no Yu" in Bessho Onsen, the oldest hot spring in Shinshu, located along the Japan Heritage site "Sacred Land of the Sun and Earth Connected by Ley Lines ~Shinshu Ueda and Shiodadaira, a Town Living with Dragons~."
