Enjoy Limited Sake and Japanese Wine at Sasaichi Shuzo's “Sasaichi Day” on March 29–30!

On March 29 and 30, Sasaichi Shuzo in Otsuki, Yamanashi, will hold “Sasaichi Day.”

It is a unique event where visitors can enjoy freshly made sake and Japanese wine.

Here are the details.

About “Sasaichi Day”

“Sasaichi Day” is a popular event organized by Sasaichi Shuzo Co., Ltd., a brewery with more than 360 years of history that continues to make sake using the clear waters of Fuji-Misaka.

Four leading Yamanashi restaurants will set up special booths for the two days, offering dishes paired with sake and Japanese wine made by Sasaichi Shuzo.

At SASAICHI KRAND CAFE, a new amazake-style dessert made with generous amounts of the brewery's sake lees will also make its debut.

Plenty of Japanese Wine, Too!

“Sasaichi Day” offers limited seasonal sake and Japanese wine available only at this time of year.

From the brewery's signature Sasaichi series, made with Yamanashi-grown sake rice and clear underground water from Fuji-Misaka, guests can enjoy the spring-limited “Sasaichi Spring Junmai Ginjo Usunigori.”

From OLIFANT, Sasaichi Shuzo's wine brand celebrating its 70th year, visitors can choose from 14 kinds of sake and Japanese wine, including “OLIFANT Koshu Traditional-Method Sparkling,” a gold-medal winner at an international competition in 2023, and “OLIFANT Muscat Bailey A Rosé Barrel Fermented.”

The popular Nigori Wine series will also feature red and white versions as well as the seasonal “Nigori Wine Strawberry.”

It is an event for sake lovers, Japanese-wine fans, and food enthusiasts alike.
