Koriyama City in Fukushima Prefecture has begun accepting applications for participants in a carp × wine pairing tour that combines visits to production areas with gourmet dining.
The dates are Saturday, September 7, Sunday, September 29, and Sunday, October 6, 2024.

About the Pairing Tour
This pairing tour is being offered by Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture.
Aimed at people both inside and outside the prefecture, the tour content includes "Koriyama Carp" and "Fukushima Ouse Winery" in order to raise awareness of carp and wine as local specialties and create opportunities to bring these products to mind.
Participants will be able to tour the production sites while listening to the producers, learning about the background of carp and wine as well as the passion of the producers.
Furthermore, at "Best Table," a restaurant developed under the theme of local production for local consumption, a course meal featuring abundant ingredients from Koriyama—such as carp and Koriyama brand vegetables—is scheduled to be served with wine pairings.
Access to Fukushima Ouse Winery!
On the day of the tour, participants depart from Koriyama City Hall and head to Fukushima Ouse Winery.
The schedule includes a talk on Koriyama carp, a tour of the brewing facilities and vineyards, wine tasting (about 5 varieties), and shopping at the store.
And the highlight is dinner starting from 17:00.
