Otaru Retreat Kuramure by Onko Chishin is operated by Onko Chishin Inc.
On Tuesday, July 7, 2026, the property began selling an accommodation plan with tickets to the enormously popular wine event “La Fête des Vignerons à YOICHI 2026,” for which tickets are hotly contested every year, as an official sponsor of the event.
The luxurious package includes transportation to and from the Yoichi La Fête venue and, exclusively for guests on this plan, rare Hokkaido wines that would normally incur additional charges offered on an all-inclusive basis within the package price.
Participation as an Official Sponsor

Otaru Retreat Kuramure places “fermentation and creation” at the heart of the guest experience.
As a popular lodging property that serves as a “regional showcase,” communicating the area’s appeal to visitors from Japan and abroad, it continues to develop its offering together with neighboring businesses.
Yoichi, adjacent to Otaru, is one of Japan’s major Japanese-wine regions and is home to roughly 30% of Hokkaido’s wineries.
The property aims to communicate the appeal of Hokkaido wine through the stay itself and offers a selection centered on wines from the Shiribeshi area, including rare labels with limited market distribution.
Wanting to share the internationally acclaimed appeal of Yoichi wine more widely in Japan and overseas, the property joined this year’s “La Fête des Vignerons à YOICHI 2026” as an official sponsor.
About the Package

The ticket-inclusive accommodation package differs substantially from the property’s standard plans.
Rare Hokkaido wines that normally require an additional charge will be offered all-inclusively for guests booking this package.
Senior sommelier Takeo Kaneko, who has experience providing wine service at international summit meetings, and Hiroyuki Yoshida, wine concierge at Hotel La Vigne Hakuba, will explain the intentions of the people behind the wines and the distinctive characteristics of each bottle.
The special two-night, three-day stay is structured so that guests can experience the appeal of Hokkaido wine throughout the entire visit, from the day before Yoichi La Fête until the following day.

On the evening before Yoichi La Fête, guests will enjoy a special kaiseki dinner paired with Yoichi wines in a private dining room.
After dinner, a wine tasting will be held with a talk session by Kaneko and Yoshida, both of whom recognized the potential of Japanese wine from the days when the industry was still in its infancy.
The package also includes round-trip transportation of approximately 40 minutes each way to the Yoichi La Fête venue.
Guests can travel without worrying about luggage or driving, taking in views of Ishikari Bay and vineyard landscapes stretching into the distance along the way.
