Omishima Minna no Winery Launches “Artist Series Vol. 2: Tadanori Yokoo” on July 1

Omishima Minna no Winery will begin selling the red-and-white wine set “Artist Series Vol. 2: Tadanori Yokoo” on July 1, 2026.

For the second installment in the series, the winery commissioned labels from internationally renowned painter Tadanori Yokoo.

About the Artist Series

Omishima Minna no Winery’s Artist Series is a project that asks world-renowned artists who have close relationships with winery representative and architect Toyo Ito to create labels for Omishima wines, combining wine made on an island in the Seto Inland Sea with the appeal of art and sharing it with the world.

For the second installment, the winery asked internationally renowned painter Tadanori Yokoo to design the labels.

To match the two striking labels, the winery prepared one red and one white wine made from grapes grown on Omishima.

About Artist Series Vol. 2

Two wines are being released in Artist Series Vol. 2.

The red is “Shimabeni Grand Cuvée 2022,” and the white is “Shimashiro Grand Cuvée 2024.”

The red is an aged wine made from Muscat Bailey A harvested in 2022, considered one of the finest recent vintages. The white is a special wine made from carefully selected Chardonnay from 2024, barrel-fermented and barrel-aged.
