A Must-See for Okayama Wine Fans! "Enjoying Wine and the Spring Scenery of Onomichi" Event Held on March 22 and 23 at "LOG"!

For two days on Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23, Okayama Wine Valley will host the event "Enjoying Wine and the Spring Scenery of Onomichi" at the hotel complex "LOG" in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture.

This is a must-see event for Okayama wine fans.

Here are the details.

Proposing a New Way to Enjoy Wine

The venue for this upcoming event is the hotel complex "LOG" in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture.

In "Enjoying Wine and the Spring Scenery of Onomichi," a new way to enjoy wine is proposed by pairing wine with the scenery of Onomichi viewed from LOG.

During spring in Onomichi, when cherry blossom buds begin to swell, the landscape across the Onomichi Channel toward Mukoujima is wrapped in light pink blossoms blooming here and there alongside the colors of rapeseed flowers.

The sea changing its expressions depending on the time of day, the reflecting light, and the nostalgic townscape are also said to create a very emotional scene.

What would wine taste like when enjoyed amidst such scenery? The event aims to let participants experience wine in a new way within the wonderful space of LOG.

Wines Scheduled for Pairing

Below is the list of wines scheduled to be paired during this event.

【Scheduled Wine List】

● Wine List 1: "Unnatural"

A semi-sparkling wine made from 100% Sangiovese

● Wine List 2: "Sparkling HAKUBI"

● Wine List 3: "HAKUBI"

A dry white Chardonnay wine

● Wine List 4: "QAUGURA"

(Several vintages are also scheduled)

During the event, direct communication with the producer will be possible, as they will personally serve wine to participants while sharing information about the wines, winemaking, and their background.

Surrounded by the scenery and sea breeze of the Seto Inland Sea, you can further deepen your appreciation and understanding of the region and wine crafted from grapes grown in the foothills of the Chugoku Mountains in northwestern Okayama Prefecture, where limestone strata stretch out.

If you are in the area, why not take part?
