About the Nippori Dokan Festival
The Nippori Dokan Festival is held each year at the event plaza in front of Nippori Station, near Dokanyama in Nippori, a place associated with Ota Dokan. Municipalities and other groups connected to Dokan gather for the event.
Municipalities associated with Dokan set up booths selling local specialties and promoting tourism. A special stage also hosts programs such as a short play by the Isehara Handmade Armor Corps, a picture-story show by second-generation kamishibai performer Mitsuhashi Tora, and a bingo game featuring local mascot characters.
Japanese Wine Too!
On the day of the event, municipalities and shops associated with Ota Dokan will sell products and conduct PR activities.
Products connected to Ota Dokan will include specialties from Isehara City in Kanagawa Prefecture, Higashimatsuyama City's famous miso-sauce pork kashira yakitori, and Dokan-kun goods from the Hiyoshi Shopping Street Federation.
The Tokyo sales office of Ota Shuzo Co., Ltd., which sells sake and wine, will also participate.
Ota Shuzo Co., Ltd. operates Ritto Winery and is familiar to wine fans in the Kansai region.
It is a unique event connected with Ota Dokan.
