On Monday, June 10, 2024, the "7th Japan Winery Award®︎ 2024," which honors producers who craft outstanding Japanese wine across the country, will be held.
Starting this year, the "JAL Award" has been newly established.

About Japan Winery Award®︎
Japan Winery Award®︎ 2024 is a Japanese wine competition organized by the "Japan Winery Award Association," a general incorporated association that promotes Japanese wine within Japan.
Every year, nationwide and regional judges evaluate wineries that produce Japanese wine in Japan and meet certain criteria set by the Japan Winery Award Association.
As for the judging method, regional and nationwide judges carefully select wineries worthy of evaluation from the eligible wineries, and all nationwide judges confer and make the final decisions.
Eligible wineries are, in principle, domestic wineries that have been established for 5 years or more, with 329 wineries nationwide being eligible in 2023.
In addition, strict judging criteria are established, such as whether the wines possess an excellent balance of complexity and concentration, as well as nobility.
About the "7th Japan Winery Award®︎ 2024"
At the "7th Japan Winery Award®︎ 2024," the association will announce the results on the official "Japan Winery Award®︎" website after the award ceremony and presentation concludes.
Announcements will cover the award-winning wineries for 5-Star, 4-Star, 3-Star, and Connoisseurs, as well as the "Special Judge Award" and the newly established "JAL Award."
For the "JAL Award," a JAL cabin attendant will serve as the presenter on the day and present it to one winery selected by the association.
Furthermore, aiming for a sustainable award event this year, a commemorative party with about 150 participants, including general wine enthusiasts, is also scheduled to be held as Part 2.

Held with about 150 people including general wine enthusiasts. Winemakers from the 5-Star wineries awarded in Part 1, guests, special judges, and sponsoring/partner companies will also participate.
