Recently, Toei Agency Co., Ltd. announced that as the "Famous Horses x Alcohol Series Vol. 1," an original wine brewed by SADOYA winery will be released on a made-to-order basis.

The original wine being released this time is an anniversary wine celebrating the famous horse Oju Chosan and jockey Ishigami.
Oju Chosan is a legendary racehorse that continues to achieve great feats in the horse racing world, including 9 J.GⅠ wins, 18 steeplechase race wins and 2 flat race wins for a total of 20 wins, and a graded stakes victory at the age of 11.
Meanwhile, Jockey Ishigami is one of the legendary jockeys with a J.GⅠ victory in his 1,000th career ride and 21 graded steeplechase stakes wins.
This original wine is reportedly an exquisite item realized through a partnership between horse racing merchandise maker Toei Agency and custom alcohol engraving company Marker Works.
About the Wine
The brand chosen for this original wine is "Horloge" from SADOYA winery, which has won numerous awards in competitions.
The wine, whose name means "clock" in French, was commercialized under the thought that it is truly fitting for Oju Chosan and Jockey Ishigami, who have captured numerous first-place winning times and whose racing silks color is wine red.
The grape varieties are Muscat Bailey A and Cabernet Sauvignon from Yamanashi Prefecture.
It is a medium-bodied red wine where one can enjoy the fruit-forward, soft taste of Muscat Bailey A combined with the firm structure and astringency of fully ripened Cabernet Sauvignon.

The original wine bottle will reportedly be engraved with racing images of Oju Chosan as well as Jockey Shinichi Ishigami's authentic signature.
