The "Komoro Distillery Whisky Festival" will be held for three days from Friday, February 23 (National Holiday) to Sunday, February 25.
Although whisky is the star of the event, attendees will also be able to enjoy wine from Nagano Prefecture.

About the "Komoro Distillery Whisky Festival"
The "Komoro Distillery Whisky Festival" is held in celebration of the World Whisky Forum, a global whisky industry event taking place at the Komoro Distillery, co-hosted by Komoro City and the Komoro Tourism Bureau, and supported by Nagano Prefecture.
It is said to be a new style of community-integrated whisky festival that can be enjoyed by everyone, from whisky enthusiasts to those unfamiliar with whisky.
The whisky festival features a main venue and a special satellite venue, connected by a free shuttle bus that makes a round trip in about 20 minutes.
At the main venue, Komoro Distillery, a variety of programs are planned, including a special masterclass held by Master Blender Ian Chang, where participants can listen to explanations about future bottlings (with interpretation) while tasting several maturing spirits (new make/new born) specially selected for this event.

At the event's special satellite venue, attendees can not only taste whiskies from distilleries worldwide participating in the World Whisky Forum, but also enjoy free tastings of wine and sake produced in Nagano Prefecture.
Opportunities for free tastings of Nagano wine do not come along very often.
