On Sunday, February 12, 2023, "GI Nagano Wine Fes 2023 ~YES WINE! YES LIFE!~" was held at Hotel Metropolitan Nagano (directly connected to JR Nagano Station).
Held annually in Tokyo from 2014 to 2020, NAGANO WINE FES made its comeback this time in Nagano City.
Many visitors gathered from all over for this Nagano wine festival held for the first time in three years.
Enjoying over 100 varieties of wine from 32 wineries
A total of 32 wineries participated. Each brought their proud wines, allowing guests to enjoy more than 100 varieties of wine. What's more, it was not a "ticket-exchange" system, but all-you-can-drink! It was truly surprising and inspiring.
Furthermore, hors d'oeuvres packed with Nagano ingredients made the wine tasting even more delightful.
The master of ceremonies duties were handled by these two well-known "Nagano Wine Princes."
The lively talk by Mr. Hanaoka from the Nagano Wine Supporters Group and Mr. Narusawa from Sakaki Winery brought great excitement to the venue.
Toward the end of the event, a new mascot character for Nagano wine was announced, and all the participating guests thoroughly enjoyed Nagano wines gathered together for the first time in a while to their heart's content.
We cannot keep our eyes off Nagano wine as its momentum continues to grow.
