About “Mercado Rico”
In Spanish, Mercado means “market,” while Rico means “rich” or “delicious.”
“Mercado Rico” is a carefully curated market organized by Tamashima Shinkin Bank and held regularly since April 2022, bringing together delicious and quality products.
The event was created to support client restaurants affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, make better use of the Achiterrace Kurashiki open space, generate foot traffic beyond the Bikan Historical Quarter, and support restaurants located in Achiterrace Kurashiki.
This time the theme is “alcohol”
Champs de Coton Kurashiki will offer craft beer brewed with Kurashiki cotton yeast, LUCE wine&tapas will sell Italian wine, Sake Kobo Aoe will offer a range of wines, and Funao Winery will feature Muscat of Alexandria wine.
Food will also be plentiful, including white-peach amazake from Nanba Farm, Bizen Shamo yakitori from Village Meal, and Yaeyama soba from Ma-sando.
