“Marugoto Nippon” in Asakusa reopened on June 4, 2021 after a long renovation period!
The NihonWine.jp editorial team visited the pre-opening event.
We spoke with the store's Japanese wine buyer, Mr. Fuju, about what makes the newly renovated shop special.
A standing bar where you can compare Japanese wines
The term kaku-uchi may bring sake to mind, but this shop will also let visitors compare and taste Japanese wines. The menu is expected to expand further.
Being able to try a wine before buying it is an especially welcome service when you are unsure what to choose.
Please watch our interview with buyer Mr. Fuju, who explains the various services the store offers.
Limited-edition UNIQLO UT collaboration T-shirts with sake breweries
“Marugoto Nippon” is a shop that purchases directly from sake breweries.
For this renewal, its brewery network has teamed up with UNIQLO UT.
The shop will sell T-shirts printed with brewery logos and rare label designs.
Each shirt can even be printed individually in the customer's own size. (Please contact the store for details.)
These products are sure to appeal not only to sake fans but also to visitors from overseas.
They are likely to become one of the highlights of the renewed “Marugoto Nippon.”
We would certainly love to see a Japanese wine version as well.
If you are looking for a new place to enjoy Japanese wine, be sure to visit “Marugoto Nippon” at least once.
