Among them is an event pairing Japanese wine with sushi.

About the Special Programs
Since opening in 2022, NOHGA HOTEL KIYOMIZU KYOTO has valued its connections with the local community under the hotel theme “Recreating KYOTO — Encounter an Unconventional Kyoto,” while offering a wide variety of unique experiences centered on its brand keywords of music, art and food.
To mark its fourth anniversary on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, the hotel will offer four special programs themed around those three brand keywords: music, art and food.
About the Sushi and Japanese Wine Pairing Event
NOHGA HOTEL KIYOMIZU KYOTO has planned the following four events.
- A music event featuring Shinji Shindo, known as “Wakadanna” of Shonan no Kaze, as the main guest
- Limited sales of the hotel’s original fourth-anniversary craft beer, “Shikon Shosai”
- A one-day premium sushi and Japanese wine pairing event
- An art display in collaboration with “GOJO+,” a photography exhibition held in Higashiyama Gojo, an area known for ceramics
The highlight for wine fans is the one-day premium sushi and Japanese wine pairing event.
Guests will be able to casually enjoy sushi from the high-end Tokyo Akasaka restaurant Okuaakasaka Sushi Tanji together with wines from Domaine Tetta, a winery in Okayama that has restored abandoned farmland and grows and vinifies its own grapes on rare limestone soils.
The event will be held on Friday, April 24, in the first-floor lobby of NOHGA HOTEL Kyoto.
