Atstar Co., Ltd. has released “Satsuma Sakura Beni” and “Satsuma Sakura Shiro.”
Matured in Japanese red- and white-wine barrels, these are products that Japanese wine fans may also want to check out.
Here are the details.
About the “Satsuma Sakura” Series
“Satsuma Sakura” is an authentic barley shochu made with Japanese rice, characterized by the richness and sweetness associated with black koji.
It is popular with people who want to enjoy the straightforward appeal of shochu itself.
To broaden the series’ appeal even further, “Satsuma Sakura Beni” and “Satsuma Sakura Shiro” have now been added to the lineup, introducing new flavors through maturation in wine barrels.
Barrels previously used for Japanese wine are used to give the spirits a new dimension of flavor.
About the New Products
The new releases are “Satsuma Sakura Beni” and “Satsuma Sakura Shiro.”
“Satsuma Sakura Beni” is matured in Japanese red-wine barrels, creating fruity aromas and a rich character derived from the oak.
On the palate, the expressive character of red wine and the depth of shochu come together in harmony.
“Satsuma Sakura Shiro,” matured in Japanese white-wine barrels, is said to have a subtly sweet aroma and a clean, smooth mouthfeel.
It offers refreshing flavors and a crisp finish.
Japanese wine fans may want to give these bottles a look as well.
