Wineries from Yamanashi, Japan’s leading wine-producing prefecture, will gather for limited three-day counter-bar events where visitors can compare wines: May 3–5 in Fuji-Kawaguchiko and May 23–25 in front of Kofu Station.
Under the open sky, guests can enjoy small pours by the glass.
Groups can also share bottles while enjoying Yamanashi wine and food together.
Here are the details.
About the Cellar-Release Wine Bar
The Cellar-Release Wine Bar will be held May 3–5 in Fuji-Kawaguchiko and May 23–25 in front of Kofu Station.
Sommeliers, winemakers, and aspiring winemakers are scheduled to serve guests at the venues, where paid tastings can be enjoyed by having wine poured into a glass at the booth of your choice.
Picnic foods designed to pair with wine, including pizza, sausages, and game dishes, are planned for the event dates, while live music will add to the atmosphere. At the Kawaguchiko venue, fireworks are also planned at the 19:00 last order to bring everyone together for the finale.
