From Thursday, October 26 to Saturday, November 4, "Kofu-n! Yokocho Hashigo-zake Week" will be held, hosted by the Kofu Roji Yokocho Rakkai (NPO Kofu Genki Agency).
As November 3 is Yamanashi Nouveau Day, visitors can also enjoy the newly released wines.

About "Kofu-n! Yokocho Hashigo-zake Week"
"Kofu-n! Yokocho Hashigo-zake Week" is a 10-day event featuring 47 participating establishments in downtown Kofu.
While yokocho (alleyway bar districts) exist all across the country, Kofu City in Yamanashi Prefecture has an area dense with alleyway districts that have remained since the time of the previous Tokyo Olympics (1964). Feeling that it would be a waste if only regular older patrons enjoyed them, members formed the "Kofu Roji Yokocho Rakkai" to host this event.
This 8th edition of the event runs from Thursday, October 26 to Saturday, November 4.
Packed with events during the period!
The area is densely packed with alleyways such as Olympic-dori (created during the Showa Tokyo Olympics), Ichiban-gai, Kaihatsu-dori, Taki-dori, and Chochin Yokocho. It feels as if time has stood still, making it so photogenic that it has been used for filming movies and TV dramas.
Not only can you enjoy drinks at great prices in such an irresistible setting, but an added charm is that fascinating events take place during the period.
On October 28, the Shingen-ko Festival will be held, closing off the street in front of Kofu Station for a parade featuring the world's largest cavalry corps, with Ai Tominaga making an appearance as Lord Takeda Shingen this year.
Furthermore, November 3 is Yamanashi Nouveau Day, marking the official release date for new wines made from this year's harvest of Koshu and Muscat Bailey A grapes, allowing visitors to enjoy the new wines at various locations.
Participants purchase "Hashigo Tickets" in advance (advance tickets 600 yen each, same-day 650 yen; *same-day tickets are also sold on eplus), which can be issued at Lawson and 7-Eleven stores nationwide.
Head to Kofu! Participating venues are dotted in front of JR Kofu Station and around the retro Showa-era entertainment district about a 10-minute walk from the station, welcoming visitors with limited-time, great-value bar-hopping menus.
