The “Komoro Distillery Whisky Festival 2025” will be held over two days, Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2, 2025.
It is a new-style roaming festival where visitors can enjoy special venues and walking around Komoro City, with wine also part of the experience.

About the “Komoro Distillery Whisky Festival 2025”
The “Komoro Distillery Whisky Festival 2025” is a new-style roaming festival that extends beyond Komoro Distillery to special venues and streets around Komoro City.
On the event days, visitors will be able to taste bottles from distilleries that participated in last year’s World Whisky Forum as well as whiskies that have only recently debuted in Japan. Food pairings, aroma-identification quizzes and other activities will showcase the appeal of whisky.
Special festival-only academy programs are also planned, including an appearance by internationally known master blender Jota Tanaka.
Explore Komoro’s History and Food on Foot
As a roaming festival, the “Komoro Distillery Whisky Festival 2025” allows visitors to use a circulation bus and walk through the traditional streetscape along the Hokkoku Kaido, enjoying local food and history along the way.
At Honmachi Machiyakan on the Hokkoku Kaido, a concurrent event will introduce appealing wines, sake and gin from Nagano Prefecture.
There is plenty for wine lovers to enjoy as well.
Other programs include a bartender experience, the new course “Explore KOMORO Sherry Casks,” and Ian Chang’s special seminar “The Road to the Future.”
