Many people are likely considering touring wineries in Yamanashi Prefecture this summer.
However, with heat like this, while wine is great, you also might find yourself craving a beer.
From Friday, July 28 to Sunday, August 6, 2023, "Local Beer Fest Kofu 2023" will be held at Kofu Station North Exit Plaza (Assist Engineering Yocchabare Plaza).
Let us share the details.
Yamanashi is Hot Not Only for Wine but Also for Craft Beer!
Yamanashi is widely known as the wine kingdom.
However, Kofu City, where this beer festival is held, has been producing local beer since around the Meiji Restoration (in 1874, the first in Eastern Japan and the first commercially sold domestic beer in Japan).
In other words, in a sense, beer can be said to have a history just as long as wine.
Now, local beers and local gourmet food gather at the plaza in front of the station in such a city.
It returns to its regular 10-day format for the first time in 4 years.
