The Kobe urban winery Kiraka is recommending the French “piscine” style as a new way to enjoy rosé this summer.
Kiraka is a small urban winery focused mainly on rosé production.
“Piscine” means “swimming pool” in French and is a popular style for hot weather.
In France, particularly at resorts and café terraces, rosé served over ice is widely enjoyed. Rather than being considered bad manners, it is seen as a relaxed way to drink wine.
Try Piscine with Two Kiraka Rosés
Kiraka has introduced two rosés that are especially well suited to the piscine style.
● doudou 2024 (Merlot)
Pale cherry-blossom color with aromas of strawberry and cherry. Crisp and dry, becoming even more refreshing over ice.
● coucou 2024 (Cabernet Sauvignon)
A slightly fuller style with a pleasant finish; ice highlights its balanced, light character.
