Karuizawa Town will host the "KARUIZAWA Culture Festival".
Organized on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Karuizawa's municipal administration, the project is planned to provide opportunities for hands-on experiences such as events and workshops themed around 12 cultural aspects.

Held Across Five Areas of Karuizawa
The "KARUIZAWA Culture Festival" is scheduled to run for two weeks, from Saturday, September 16, 2023, to Sunday, October 1, 2023.
It will reportedly be rolled out across five areas: Naka-Karuizawa, Kyu-Karuizawa, Shin-Karuizawa, Minami-Karuizawa, and Oiwake.
In order to pass down Karuizawa's unique culture to future generations and create a new culture for the next 100 years, the festival plans to focus on experiential content that fosters an awareness of future issues, rather than merely "observing" culture (tourism).
Wine Will Naturally Make an Appearance Too!
Here are the main events currently scheduled:
・Saturday, September 16 – Monday (national holiday), September 18: "Craft Beer & Wine Festival"
・Thursday, September 21: "Piano Concert"
・Thursday, September 21 – Saturday, September 23: "Karuiza-ning Festival"
・Saturday, September 23 – Sunday, September 24: "Karuizawa Book Festival"
・Saturday, September 30 – Sunday, October 1: "Karuizawa Music & Art Collective"
A wine festival mainly featuring wines produced in Nagano/Shinshu is also planned, so let us eagerly await the announcement of further details.
