Gaiemmae Restaurant "JULIA," Hugely Popular Among Japanese Wine Fans, Expands and Relocates!

"JULIA" is a popular restaurant in Gaiemmae where guests can thoroughly enjoy a Japanese wine pairing course.

On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, the restaurant will relocate and reopen with an expanded floor space.

Here are the details.

About the New Location

Upon arriving at the new "JULIA" location, guests can first relax in the 1F lounge furnished with vintage pieces, enjoying an aperitif and several types of snacks.

Afterward, guests move to the 2F dining room to enjoy dishes made with seasonal ingredients from across Japan encountered through the "Traveling JULIA" project—centering on Ibaraki Prefecture—paired with world-class Japanese wines.

Incidentally, pairings of quietly popular homemade non-alcoholic drinks are also available, and double pairings of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages can be accommodated.

For those who want to drink a bit more after their meal, the 1F lounge will also offer light bar food, wines by the glass, and a wine list featuring selections gathered from around the world.

Menu Overview

"JULIA" offers an OMAKASE Course (cuisine + pairing) for 35,000 yen per person (tax included).

For the pairing, you can choose between alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.

Reservations are online-only and can be made here.
