Starting Friday, May 13, Conrad Tokyo will begin offering its original wine, "Koshu Cuvée Conrad Tokyo."
This original wine was born from a collaboration among three figures active on the world stage, making it an exceptionally rare and valuable wine.
Let us take a closer look at the details.
A Captivating Collaboration
"Koshu Cuvée Conrad Tokyo" is a highly rare wine created through a miraculous collaboration.
The wine used comes from Shirayuri Winery in Katsunuma Town, Yamanashi Prefecture, producer of the wine that earned the highest score in Asia at the world's largest wine competition, DWWA 2021.
In a truly luxurious finish, Satoru Mori, Executive Sommelier at Conrad Tokyo, blended the wine directly from the winery's tanks.
Furthermore, the label was created by Yoko Koga, a young oil painter who attracted international attention for her involvement in the global Van Gogh project.
Koga commented: "Hearing Mr. Mori's expression of the wine, I felt its artistry, and an image for the artwork immediately welled up. I believe bottle design is also part of the enjoyment of wine. I hope people will enjoy the label alongside the taste of the wine."
Its special appearance, exuding an artistic ambiance, is also well worth noting.
About "Koshu Cuvée Conrad Tokyo"
"Koshu Cuvée Conrad Tokyo" is a blend of Koshu wines selected from Shirayuri Winery's tanks across three regions (Ichinomiya Town, Katsunuma Town, and Yamanashi City).
It is said to be crafted as a supple white wine characterized by aromas reminiscent of fresh citrus, subtle nuances of spice unique to Koshu, and a harmonious balance of crisp acidity and juicy fruit flavors.
Mori also commented: "We paid particular attention to a distinctly Japanese flavor profile, creating a wine that makes meals taste two or three times more delicious."
Making a meal taste more delicious—this perspective truly reflects the expertise of a world-class sommelier.
