Laguiole, the brand coveted by wine lovers.

Starting Tuesday, November 12, "Shirayuki," a new sommelier knife model from the Laguiole knife brand "Laguiole en Aubrac" distributed exclusively in Japan by Global Co., Ltd., will go on sale.

Here are the details.

About "Laguiole en Aubrac"

"Laguiole en Aubrac" is a brand originating from the birthplace of Laguiole knives in southwestern France, producing high-quality, completely handmade "Laguiole knives" brimming with originality while carrying on tradition.

Crafted individually by a single skilled artisan through as many as 216 processes, each one-of-a-kind sommelier knife in the world is favored by many wine professionals including sommeliers, renowned for its stability and ease of use that can withstand heavy use.

The handles are particularly attractive, featuring unique and beautiful variations found nowhere else, such as "marquetry" that can only be crafted by a select few highly skilled artisans, and models using rare materials like "mammoth tusk."

It is a brand coveted by wine lovers.

About "Shirayuki"

The new model "Shirayuki" introduced this time by "Laguiole en Aubrac" is a Japan-original model created through discussions between "Laguiole en Aubrac" and Global regarding ideas for handle materials.

To evoke a Japanese aesthetic sense, the gold and silver leaf suspended in the acrylic used for the handle were adjusted through consultations with the French headquarters regarding the balance between gold and silver, the size of the flakes, and how they are scattered.

It was reportedly named "Shirayuki" (white snow) after the image of pure white snow silently piling up with a gentle sparkle.

The Japan-original model comes with a limited-color cowhide leather case, and because natural materials are used for the wooden box as well, each piece exhibits a different wood grain and texture, enhancing the appeal of this one-and-only sommelier knife that can only be produced through handcraftsmanship.

The pinnacle of beauty is right here.

Be sure to check it out.
