Here are the details.
About “Hakodate Nature Gastronomy 2025”
“Hakodate Nature Gastronomy 2025” is a tour organized by Satoyume Co., Ltd. on behalf of the City of Hakodate, Hokkaido, as part of the city’s green tourism promotion program.
Held again following last year’s edition, the special two-day tour is themed “Experiencing the connection between where food is produced and the dining table through all five senses.” Through encounters with the nature, food, and people of rural communities, participants can experience a deeper sense of genuine abundance.
A Winery Tour, Too!
For the 2025 program, experiences have been planned based on feedback from last year’s participants. These include a winery tour of Domaine de Montille & Hokkaido, a sake brewery tour of Hakodate Goryo no Kura, a canoe adventure on the Shiodomari River—the water source for rice fields in the Kameo area—as well as rice harvesting with local farmers and a BBQ lunch with local producers.
Set in the rural Kikyo and Kameo districts of Hakodate, an area blessed with rich food culture and natural resources, the tour offers opportunities to “taste,” “touch,” and “talk.”
Wine lovers can also enjoy a full day that includes learning about sustainable winemaking with a 100-year perspective at the newly established Domaine de Montille & Hokkaido winery in Hakodate, as well as a wine-tasting seminar led by one of Japan’s leading Burgundy wine specialists.
The participation fee is ¥85,000 including tax for one person, or ¥160,000 including tax for two people.
