Hokkaido accommodation booking site Gutabi Hokkaido is partnering with the Furano City Grape and Fruit Research Institute to hold events featuring Furano wine at two Asahikawa hotels: OMO7 Asahikawa by Hoshino Resorts and Hotel WBF Grande Asahikawa.

About the Events
The Furano wine events are part of Gutabi Hokkaido's “Hokkaido Food Matching Support Project,” which connects Hokkaido producers and municipal specialty products with hotel restaurants and other food-service businesses.
Both hotels actively promote local production for local consumption using regional resources. When approached about cooperating in a matching project with local wine, both readily agreed, leading to these events.
Program Details
OMO7 Asahikawa by Hoshino Resorts will offer an accommodation plan with a French-course dinner paired with four Furano wines, as well as a snack plate designed to pair with Furano wine.
Hotel WBF Grande Asahikawa will offer complimentary Furano wine and soft drinks in its lounge and hold a wine mini-class where a staff member with sommelier qualifications explains wine basics through quizzes.
