A Journey into Yamanashi Grapes: Hoshinoya Fuji Hosts “Glamorous Grape Stay” from September 1

From September 1 through September 30, 2026, Hoshinoya Fuji, Japan’s first glamping resort, will offer its “Glamorous Grape Stay.”

The stay program is designed to let guests fully enjoy grapes at their autumn best.

About “Glamorous Grape Stay”

“Glamorous Grape Stay” is a two-night, three-day program at Hoshinoya Fuji that combines gastronomy with a journey through 1,300 years of Yamanashi grape history.

Guests travel from Daizenji, associated with the origins of Koshu grapes, to wineries and farms, exploring the depth of Japan’s two leading indigenous varieties, Koshu and Muscat Bailey A, through exchanges with winemakers and a carefully designed pairing dinner from the executive chef.

On the evening before the main grape experience, guests enjoy hot wine while watching a flickering campfire, heightening anticipation for the next day.

Features of “Glamorous Grape Stay”

The program’s features include:

Feature 1: Learn the origins of Yamanashi grapes and trace their development to the present
Feature 2: A pairing dinner designed by the executive chef to bring out the appeal of the two major varieties
Feature 3: A “Night-Before Moment” enjoyed around the campfire

The program includes Daizenji, a National Treasure associated with the arrival of grapes in Japan; Katsunuma Jozo, which pursues high-quality wines with global ambitions; and a special dinner course designed to highlight the individual character of wines made from Japan’s two major indigenous varieties, Koshu and Muscat Bailey A.
