Here are the details.

About the "Mt. Fuji Gotemba Don Festival"

The "Mt. Fuji Gotemba Don Festival" is a three-day event where Gotemba City's food ingredients and beverages come together, allowing visitors to enjoy rice bowls topped with delicious Gotemba specialties.

The event is held with the goal of letting people enjoy the cuisine nurtured by the ingredients, customs, traditions, and history born from the climate and terroir of Mt. Fuji and Gotemba, and to experience the local food culture.

It is a unique event featuring local Gotemba ingredients such as Kinka pork, ham, wasabi, sweet potatoes, eggs, shiitake mushrooms, Japanese mountain yams, and tomatoes, which visitors can top onto Gotemba Koshihikari rice bowls to eat as they like.

Gotemba Wine Too!

While Gotemba ingredients and rice bowls are the stars of the event, local alcoholic beverages, teas, and more will also gather in force.

Gotemba Kogen Beer, Gotemba Kogen Wine, We Again Village (craft beer), Mikoriya no Shizuku (rice shochu), Gotemba Sweet Potato Shochu, Ginmeisui (sake), Narikabura (sake), Kirin Distillery (whisky), and Japanese tea (Onoen) will be served.

Among them, Gotemba Kogen Wine is a rare wine made from grapes grown on the soil of Mt. Fuji by clearing abandoned farmland in Gotemba.

Special events are also lined up during the event period.
