Epson Avasys Corporation is launching a social experiment in Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture, titled 【Pioneering the Future of Rural Living Through "Side Jobs × Winemaking"】 to solve regional challenges.
Along with this, recruitment for side-job personnel to tackle regional corporate challenges and engage in winemaking will reportedly begin on June 1.

About the 【Pioneering the Future of Rural Living Through "Side Jobs × Winemaking"】 Social Experiment
The 【Pioneering the Future of Rural Living Through "Side Jobs × Winemaking"】 social experiment is an attempt to examine a new style of rural living combining "regional companies × unique local experiences (winemaking)" that responds to rapidly changing society and people's values.
The recruited side-job personnel will be asked to examine the future potential of the lifestyle "working for a regional company × winemaking" through the following experiences.
・Reside or maintain a dual-base lifestyle in Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture, for approximately 6 months starting in August 2023 (using ADDress for housing)
・Work a side job about 1 day a week at the regional company Epson Avasys
・Participate in winemaking experiences at a winery in Shiojiri City about 1 day a week
Through this social experiment, the project aims to realize "an enriched local community where urban dwellers and local residents gather, interact, and inspire one another through winemaking, bringing color to people's lives, fulfillment to their hearts, and smiles to their faces."

Work style: Reside or maintain a dual-base lifestyle in Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture during the period, working on Epson Avasys operations approximately 1 day per week and participating in winemaking experiences at a winery in Shiojiri City approximately 1 day per week.

About the winemaking experience at the winery:
Participants will take part in actual seasonal cultivation and brewing processes in vineyards and at a winery in Shiojiri City, carrying out tasks that can be performed even by non-wine specialists.
Task details - Leaf thinning, planting, harvesting, packing away rain protection, shoot topping, rough pruning (winter)
Field maintenance (stone clearing), winery tour
About support for housing and community participation:
Participants will reside in a share house in Shiojiri City. ADDress (ADDress Co., Ltd.), which operates a multi-base living platform, will organically connect the community and people through housing and "Yamori" community managers, supporting their first experience of rural living.
