About the “Fête de la Fraise Stay”
The plan combines a strawberry-picking experience at Karuizawa Garden Farm with an overnight stay and a special hotel-chef dinner pairing three rare strawberry varieties from the farm with NAGANO WINE.
In France, spring brings strawberry festivals celebrating the harvest, often with pairings of locally produced wine.
Inspired by that culture, the hotel created a special plan for enjoying the spring flavors of strawberries and NAGANO WINE together.
Enjoy NAGANO WINE
After arriving at the hotel, guests travel by shuttle to Karuizawa Garden Farm for a strawberry-picking experience featuring multiple varieties of red strawberries.
After tasting freshly picked strawberries and shopping at the farm store, guests return to a private room in the hotel restaurant for dinner with a private session led by a wine sommelier.
The hotel's sommelier has selected NAGANO WINE pairings for three rare Karuizawa Garden Farm strawberries: Royal Queen, white strawberry and black strawberry.
The dinner course is scheduled to include the following wines:
