It features truly unique content organized in collaboration with Maoi Distillery, which produces distilled spirits and wine in Naganuma Town, Hokkaido.
About the Content
Maoi Distillery is a rare distillery in Japan that produces and sells three categories—wine, whisky, and brandy—at a single facility.
During the tour, you can view the workshop area, including a large Scottish-made still, cutting-edge winemaking equipment, and a mash tun (mashing vat) used for whisky distillation.
For the tasting, along with wines and brandies made from Hokkaido-grown grapes and apples, an ultra-rare bottle, "MAOI Zweigeltrebe 2023," made with 100% Zweigeltrebe grapes from Yoichi Town, Hokkaido, with a production run of only 550 bottles, will be offered.
Aged for 5 months in French oak barrels, this full-bodied gem achieves an outstanding balance among fruit flavors, fine acidity, gentle tannins, and a lingering finish.
In this event, participants can sample and compare 4 types of wine, 2 types of brandy, 1 type of whisky, and 1 type of cider.
